Pitched Roofing

Any UK contracting authority can direct award any contract to Blade to deliver project or programme anywhere in the UK which includes a pitched roofing installation.

They share top rank on the B2G PSR framework, and B2G frameworks facilitate the direct award of any contract to any appointed supplier who shares top rank (as well as the option to invite all appointed suppliers to participate in a mini-competition).

Blade install all major systems including Marley, Redland, Sandtoft, Cedral, Britmet, Langley and Metrotile.

Flat Roofing

Any UK contracting authority can also  direct assign* any contract to Blade to install any system on the B2G FRS Flat Roofing Systems framework for which Blade are approved, which currently includes Alumasc, Garland, ICB, IKO, Lancastria, Langley, Soprema and Triflex.  

Roof Safety

Any UK contracting authority can also  award a contract to Blade via the DPS to install its Skysafe fall protection systems.

*Award & Assign

Our 'award & assign' format enables all or part of a project or programme to be assigned through the B2G framework to a specialist registered on the B2G DPS (either directly or via mini-competition). The DPS registrant then contracts with the client for that element of the project/programme, and delivers it whilst fully adhering to the same standards set out in the framework terms. This has multiple benefits:

• clients can streamline interconnected programmes into a single procurement, 

• risk is correctly assigned and controlled within the supply chain;

• clients can access the best available and most suitable suppliers at all times, for every phase of a project; and

• clients can optimise and expand the supply chain and avoid the limitations of a 'closed shop' 

With flat roofing, it also assures clients of the full involvement of a leading national system supplier in both design & warranty, whilst contracting directly with a trusted contractor, like Blade, to manage & deliver all on site operations.

With regards to pitched roofing projects/programmes, this enables clients to contract directly with Blade to manage and deliver their roofing programme, whilst specialist elements such as solar PV, where design & network connectivity are both complex and bespoke, can be assigned to an RE tech specialist, who may also be known to the client, and where contracting directly with that specialist for that element makes most sense from both risk & commercial management perspectives.
